Ah, Shorpy.com... you never disappoint...




Here is the U.S. Patent Office on July 16, 1925. Even they had clutter on their desks. Thanks Shorpy!


And here is the building today, now known as the Luce Foundation Center for American Art—the first visible art storage and study center in Washington, which features 3,500 objects from the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s permanent collection in secured glass cases.
