This morning I asked her if she wanted to sing the Alphabet Song, and she looked me straight in the eye and said,
"No."
Then I asked her if she was ready for the day.
"No."
Then I asked her if she was ready for the day.
"No."
Then she walked away from me in a huff.
I understand. She wasn't feeling well and had a bit of a tummy ache the past two days. But it was the first verbal "Mom, shut it and bugger off" from my adorable daughter. I'm sure it is the first of many.

Ahh, there's a first time for everything! So sad that when they first start to "defy" us we think it's so cute and funny - then not too much time passes and it's more naughty than funny!
